Visit of Professor Shuichi Iwata (Japan), President of CODATA international organization (Committee of Data for Science and Technology), to the Chornobyl Center

On June 2, 2007, Professor Shuichi Iwata (Japan), President of the international organization CODATA (Committee of Data for Science and Technology) visited the Chornobyl Center, where he met with Valerii N. Glygalo, Acting Coordinating Director of the Chornobyl Center.

During the meeting, Valerii N. Glygalo briefed the guest on the area of the CC activity and its plans for the future.

Afterwards Dr. Shuichi Iwata visited the International Radioecology Laboratory, where Borys Ya. Oskolkov, Head of Industrial Ecology and Expertise Department, acquainted him with the IRL activities.

Dr. Shuichi Iwata wrote a memorable note in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Chornobyl Center:
“Dear friends! Thank you very much for my visit to you. I am planning to arrange the International Meeting ‘CODATA’ 2008 in Kyiv and hope for the further collaboration with you”.
