Project of Khmelnitsky NPP Unit 1 In-Depth Safety Assessment: Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) of Internal Initiators – Phases 2&3

The following activities were performed within the project framework:
- final collection and correction of databases on the power unit’s systems;
- development of a list and detailed calculation scenarios for the additional thermal and hydraulic calculations regarding substantiation of PSA success criteria and determination of personnel time-response characteristics;
- partial analysis of systems (development of fault trees);
- development and approval of the Report ‘Technology Transfer’;
- completion and agreement of the Report ‘Response to the Peer Review Comments’;
- assessing the results of the additional thermal and hydraulic calculations for KhNPP-1 PSA;
- correction of success criteria and event trees (within the framework of developing a final report on PSA-1).
