An international meeting with US representatives, Lebanon and Ukrainian scientists on quality management of the testing laboratory for the remediation of the Iraqi nuclear facilities was held
On April, 12-13 in 2012 in the International Radioecology Laboratory of Chornobyl Center a meeting with US representatives, Lebanon and Ukrainian scientists on quality management of the testing laboratory for the remediation of the Iraqi nuclear facilities was held.
In the meeting representatives of the Texas Tech University (USA) Ronald Chesser and Eric Kellan Howell, a representative of US Department of State, project manager of Iraq nuclear facility dismantlement project David Kenagy took part. As IAEA consultant in the meeting participated Quality Manager, a representative of the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission Rola Bou Khozam.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Director General of Chornobyl Center, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Mikhail Bondarkov.
During the meeting the issues of providing assistance in quality management in the first phase of the project were discussed in order to guide the process of accreditation of Iraqi radioanalytical laboratory.
